Firefighters rescue man trapped in Tysons Corner elevator

First responders rescued a man stuck in an elevator in Tysons Corner on Wednesday, according to a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue news release.
The man was reportedly stuck in the elevator in a building in the 1700 block of Tysons Boulevard around 6:37 p.m.
Units found the elevator car had stalled 35 feet below the 11th floor, according to the release. The man was not injured.
After an elevator technician took control of surrounding elevator cars, fire and rescue personnel lowered a second elevator down to the same spot as the stalled car.
Once there, two personnel were able to get the trapped man out of the roof hatch of the stalled elevator and safely moved him to the functioning elevator car.
The “rescue” car descended to the lobby where the man was assessed by EMS crews as a precaution, the release noted.
